Comfort Keepers provide care for my mother, who has Dementia. My family was tentative about having strangers come into their home and unsure of the process. They came out, explained everything, and left us information while we made our decision. They were able to hire me to begin my mom's care and train other staff to help with her personal care. With the help of CK's, we are able to keep my mom in her home. The staff is friendly and well-trained. My mom enjoys the extra companionship and activities they provide. I am still employed as a sub, in case they need me. Now I can spend quality time with my mom and feel comfortable leaving her in the care of others.
Working with Comfort Keepers, White Bear location has been fantastic! Jeannie Anderson and Kayla Kuhn are true professionals that understand how to communicate well with older adults. They are advocate's for our family.
And Patty, the aide who is assigned to my mother (92) works above and beyond to provide the care that incorporates trust and a genuine friendship.
"I don't think Mom and Don are eating as healthy as they need to and Mary's prep and planning is a way to close this gap. Please let me know if Mary needs anything to be successful with this. When I asked Mom how she liked the BLTs Mary made, she corrected me and said, "You mean WE made." She seemed to really like having a part in it. I was surprised by Mom's response. First because I didn't think she'd care, much less remember. This let me know that she really likes to feel she is contributing. If there are any more or other ways Mary thinks Mom can contribute, please encourage that. It means a lot to me too."
