Owner
Paul is an experienced business owner and entrepreneur having owned and operated businesses for over the past 20 years. Paul has been recognized by North East Ohio Technology Center (Nortech), Crain’s, and Ernst and Young as an innovative and forward-thinking business professional specializing in launching, operating, and scaling small businesses. After an eight-year caregiving episode where he took care of his ailing father who was afflicted with Parkinson’s and Lewey Body Dementia, Paul made the decision to share his caregiving experience and purchase three Comfort Keeper franchises with his business partner Mark Shee. Paul enjoys playing golf and resides in Beachwood with his family.
Mark Shee
Owner
Mark is an experienced business executive who has utilized his extensive background in corporate accounting and finance as a foundation to successfully own and operate several businesses for the past twenty years. Highly skilled in mergers and acquisitions, Mark specializes in business valuation and development to ensure that his businesses are provided with a broad spectrum of services. Philanthropic by nature, Mark is actively involved in his community and serves on the board of the Knights of Columbus, the Society for Handicapped Children, and his community HOA. A native of Pittsburgh, Mark is a lifelong Steelers fan and enjoys fly fishing. Mark and his family reside in Medina.
Nathaniel Burke
General Manager
Nathaniel joined Comfort Keepers in 2020 bringing a strong background in process and business development, product/project management, and technology implementation. Nathaniel oversees company business development and technology enhancement to help us improve our quality and deliver improved outcomes and better care.
An avid athlete, Nathaniel enjoys working out, golf, and hockey. He currently resides in downtown Cleveland.
Sarah Howe
Client Care Manager - Ashtabula County
Sarah Howe is the Ashtabula County Client Care Manager. She began her career with Comfort Keepers in 2007 as a Caregiver and transitioned to the role of Client Care Manager in 2017. She is a lifelong resident of Ashtabula, OH. Sarah loves that she can give back to the community that she grew up in and always finds a way to make a connection with the Clients and families that she meets. In her spare time, she is also the Head Volleyball Coach at Saint John High School. Sarah is a member of the Ashtabula County Senior Care Network and a member of LEADERship Ashtabula County.
Elizabeth Sousa
Client Care Manager - Lake and Geauga County
Elizabeth Sousa is the Lake and Geauga Client Care Manager. Elizabeth brings with her 7 years experience of working in Long Term Care and Skilled Nursing Facilities, specializing in dementia care. Liz's passion has always been taking care of the senior population. She is involved with the Alzheimer's Association, as well as being an active member of the Association of Specialists in Aging (ASA) and Professional Association Specializing in Seniors (Pass). In her spare time she is renovating her home and hanging out with her new puppy, Phoenix.
Lori Kennedy
Scheduling
Lori Kennedy is the Scheduler for the Painesville office. She currently resides in Ashtabula and is married with one son. Lori attended Kent State University majoring in Respiratory Therapy and has always taken great pleasure in taking care of others, especially the senior population. That passion is what eventually brought her to Comfort Keepers as a Caregiver in 2017. In 2022, she took on the role of HR. When she isn’t working, Lori loves spending time with her two pups!
Nicole Niemeyer
HR Manager
Nicole Niemeyer serves as the HR Manager for Lake, Ashtabula, and Geauga Counties, supporting the caregivers who provide compassionate, reliable care to the individuals and families who place their trust in us every day. With over 25 years of experience in healthcare and people management, Nicole is deeply committed to ensuring our caregivers are supported, well-trained, and empowered to deliver the highest level of care.
Nicole believes that exceptional care starts with exceptional people. Her focus is on building strong teams, fostering professionalism and heart-centered service, and creating an environment where caregivers feel valued—so clients and families feel confident, safe, and cared for in their own homes.
Outside of work, Nicole is a proud wife, mom to four adult children, and a devoted dog lover. She is actively involved in her community through Search and Rescue K9 volunteering, K9 therapy at senior facilities, her church, staying active at the gym, and cooking for those she loves.
Nicole is honored to support the caregivers who care for our community and looks forward to continuing to build trust with the families we serve.
