Trusted In-Home Senior Care Serving Anoka

Comfort Keepers In-Home Care of Anoka.

Meet Sam Aisawa, Owner of Comfort Keepers of Anoka

Sam Aisawa is the owner of Comfort Keepers® of Anoka, a locally operated in-home care provider serving seniors, veterans, and families throughout Anoka, Andover, Blaine, Ham Lake, Coon Rapids, Ramsey, Elk River, Cambridge, and nearby Minnesota communities.

Her career in senior care began as a caregiver and has grown through more than a decade of experience in client care, caregiver support, home care operations, and organizational leadership.

Who Owns Comfort Keepers of Anoka?

Sam Aisawa owns Comfort Keepers of Anoka, as well as the affiliated Comfort Keepers offices serving White Bear Lake, Chisago City, and surrounding communities in the northern Twin Cities region.

Sam became the owner of the local Comfort Keepers organization on March 9, 2026. Today, she works closely with caregivers, nurses, Client Care Coordinators, and operational leaders to provide dependable, personalized in-home care.

Her leadership is grounded in compassion, accountability, and a firsthand understanding of the challenges families face when a parent, spouse, or other loved one needs additional support.

How Did Sam Begin Her Career in Senior Care?

Sam joined Comfort Keepers in 2013 as a part-time caregiver while also helping care for her grandmother.

These experiences gave her a personal understanding of the importance of dependable care, familiar routines, respectful assistance, and clear communication with families. They also strengthened her commitment to helping older adults remain safe, independent, and connected in their own homes.

Sam understands that home care affects more than the person receiving assistance. It can also provide family caregivers with reassurance, guidance, and time to manage their other responsibilities.

What Is Sam’s Professional Background?

After earning her degree in Health Information Technology, Sam joined the Comfort Keepers administrative team in 2016.

Working closely with local founder Tom Berard, she gained hands-on experience in:

  • Client care coordination
  • Caregiver support and development
  • Home care operations
  • Business development
  • Scheduling and service delivery
  • Quality improvement
  • Organizational leadership

Sam continued to accept greater leadership responsibilities as the organization grew. In 2022, she was named President of the Anoka and White Bear Lake offices. She later became the owner of the local Comfort Keepers organization and now leads its continued growth across the northern Twin Cities region.

What Is Sam’s Connection to the Anoka Community?

Sam’s connection to the Anoka area began through her work as a Comfort Keepers caregiver and continued as she moved into administrative and leadership roles.

The local Comfort Keepers organization has served families in the Anoka area since 2007. Sam has helped the organization grow while remaining focused on its original purpose: helping older adults receive dependable, personalized care in their own homes.

As owner of Comfort Keepers of Anoka, Sam leads a local care team serving older adults and families throughout Anoka County and nearby communities.

The Anoka office provides personalized in-home care for:

  • Seniors who need help remaining independent at home
  • Veterans and their spouses
  • People living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia
  • Adults recovering after hospitalization, surgery, or rehabilitation
  • Individuals who need personal care or mobility assistance
  • Families who need respite or ongoing caregiving support
  • Clients who require 24-hour in-home care

Sam’s goal is to ensure that families throughout the Anoka area have access to compassionate caregivers, responsive local support, and care plans developed around each client’s individual needs.

What Is Sam’s Approach to In-Home Senior Care?

Sam believes effective home care begins by listening to the client and family.

Every person has different needs, routines, preferences, abilities, and family circumstances. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, the Comfort Keepers team develops personalized care plans that can change as the client’s situation changes.

Under Sam’s leadership, the Anoka care team focuses on:

  • Treating every client with dignity and respect
  • Supporting safety and independence at home
  • Communicating clearly with clients and families
  • Selecting and supporting compassionate caregivers
  • Responding when a client’s needs change
  • Encouraging meaningful activity and social connection
  • Giving families greater confidence and peace of mind

How Does Sam’s Caregiving Experience Influence Her Leadership?

Sam’s progression from caregiver to owner shapes how she leads Comfort Keepers today.

Because she has personally provided care, Sam understands the responsibilities placed on caregivers and the importance of supporting them with clear expectations, training, communication, and strong operational leadership.

She also understands the concerns families may experience when inviting a caregiver into a loved one’s home. Trust must be earned through dependable service, respectful relationships, consistent communication, and attention to each client’s changing needs.

This combination of caregiving experience and operational leadership helps Sam consider the needs of clients, families, caregivers, and the broader care team when making decisions.

Continuing the Comfort Keepers Mission in Anoka

Sam is proud to continue the local Comfort Keepers mission of helping older adults live safely, independently, and joyfully at home.

Through Comfort Keepers of Anoka, Sam and her team are committed to providing personalized in-home care that supports the whole person—not only their daily care needs, but also their comfort, relationships, choices, independence, and quality of life.
